Lisa K Jennings, PhD

Lisa K Jennings, PhD founded CirQuest Labs in 2008 as an extension of her successful basic and translational research program as a faculty member at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. An internationally recognized leader in anti-platelet and anticoagulant therapies, she has served on numerous industry scientific and clinical development advisory boards. She has been instrumental in assisting industry in the design and implementation of mechanistic studies and clinical trials in the vascular biology field, including CAD, stroke, PAD, inflammatory and metabolic diseases, hematology, and medical device fields.

Edward Hord, BSN

Mr. Hord holds an undergraduate degree in both biology and nursing. His past experiences have provided him with broad technical and operational knowledge related to the multiple aspects of planning and conducting the different stages of clinical studies including feasibility/pilot, IDE, PMA applications, advisory panel meetings, and post-approval studies. His primary role is to oversee the operations of CirQuest and to facilitate agreements and contracts as well as communication with our industry and institutional clients and collaborators.

Jayaprakash Kotha, MBBS, PhD

Dr. Kotha attended medical school at the Guntur Medical College & Hospital, India and doctoral studies at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. During his early research, he worked as a clinical virologist at the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, India. During early days of his research Dr. Kotha worked in molecular epidemiology and immunobiology of retroviruses where he developed valuable serological and molecular diagnostic tools for the diagnostic and prognostic assessment of various types of retroviral diseases.

David K. Jennings, MD

With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. David Jennings provides medical supervision and knowledge for clinical projects at CirQuest Labs. Dr. Jennings has been serving the Memphis community and surrounding areas since he received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee in 1979. While his focus is providing the highest quality health care for his patients, he is also involved in the education of fellow healthcare providers in the Memphis community through his position as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Mark Vines,CPA

Mark Vines is a respected financial executive with a 20-year career covering both small and large pharmaceutical companies as well as clinical laboratory executive experience. As CFO of CirQuest Labs, LLC, Mark oversees all financial functions of the company, including planning and analysis, reporting, treasury, accounting and finance.

Laura Yacoubian, MBA

Laura Yacoubian is a clinical research professional with 7 years of experience supporting and managing pharmaceutical and medical device clinical studies. As Director of Project Management at CirQuest Labs, LLC, Laura tracks the progress of all ongoing projects and collaborates with project teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks to project delivery.

​Prior to joining CirQuest, Laura was the Regional Operations Manager for Smith & Nephew, Inc.’s Clinical Operations group. Laura holds an MBA from the University of Memphis. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hendrix College.

Ben Curry, PhD

Dr. Curry attended the University of Tennessee – Knoxville, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in biological science with a concentration in microbiology, and a Doctorate in nutritional sciences with a cognate in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology.  Dr. Curry’s research project involved investigating the effects of dairy products on obesity – associated inflammation with particular focus on adipose tissue inflammatory cytokine production/signaling and how this process alters monocyte – endothelial cell adhesion.
